A total of 51,000 visitors came to the exhibition grounds, 11,800 of whom attended the Night of the Horses, MiMaMo and My Pony Dream shows.
PASSION PFERD covered all areas of equestrian sport and was aimed at leisure riders as well as professional riders, breeders and stable owners. In addition, the PASSION HORSE section offered a themed world especially for dog owners.
The highlights of PASSION PFERD included the numerous appearances by national and international stars from the equestrian scene, in addition to the product range, which extended from riding clothing and equipment to feed, horse transporters and stables. Visitors had the opportunity to experience stars such as Kenzie Dysli, Lisa Röckener, Julia Steinbrecher, Ludwig Weinmayr, Hella Gabbert, Franca Lehfeldt and Bernd Hackl up close in numerous action rings as well as in the large show arena.
The trade fair was officially opened on Thursday evening with the PASSION PFERD SUMMIT, a high-profile event with invited guests, including futurologist Tristan Horx, Olympian Isabell Werth and Franca Lehfeldt, journalist and PR professional. The networking evening featured a keynote speech and a panel discussion under the motto “Courage to change”.
The PASSION PFERD FESTIVAL celebrated a premiere on Saturday and Sunday. Exciting live panels discussed forward-looking topics in equestrian sport, focusing on horse-friendly handling, diversity in equestrian sport, the role of AI in equestrian sport, branding and social media. The PASSION PFERD FESTIVAL also offered rodeo and selfie fun, workshops and influencer meetings.
Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe AG: “The start of PASSION PFERD was an outstanding success. We have experienced great satisfaction among visitors and exhibitors. This motivates us to build on our success next year. It has become clear that it was the right decision to separate the equestrian and hunting sectors and focus on the respective themes.”
This is also confirmed by the majority of PASSION-PFERD exhibitors. André Baumgartner, PIKEUR: “The new concept has really hit the mark, we are overwhelmed by the success.”
Jana Peppermüller, Consteed / Continental: “It was our first appearance on such a large scale and we had a lot of fun. We had a lot of visitors at our stand, to whom we were able to present our new product for the first time. PASSION PFERD was a complete success for us”.
Philipp Bücker: “We may have fewer visitors this year compared to previous years, but they are much more specialist. We've been here since 2015 and we'll definitely be back next year.”
Tomas Fischer, Fischer Stalltechnik: “The concept was a complete success. We had our doubts at first, but people came. The trade fair was a success for us and I think it will be even better next year. We are totally satisfied.”

According to the independent market research institute Gelszus from Dortmund, visitor satisfaction was also high. Over 90 percent stated that they were satisfied with their visit to the trade fair and 92 percent said they would come back next year. Just under 90 percent of visitors bought or ordered something, with the average spend amounting to 434 euros.
Deutsche Messe AG has already announced new features for the next edition of PASSION PFERD 2025: PASSION PFERD will be expanded to include a 4-star international indoor horse show, the ADVENT CLASSICO, thus adding another highlight for horse fans.
The next PASSION PFERD will take place from December 4-7, 2025.
