展会报告(Show Reports):
The leading European trade fair denkmal, together with the parallel MUTEC, has once again proven itself to be the central international platform for the preservation and communication of cultural heritage. With 13,400 visitors, the trade fair duo continued its strong development and experienced noticeable growth - this was also evident in the two exhibition halls. 499 exhibitors from 26 countries met numerous interested, enthusiastic and innovation-hungry visitors.
“30 years of denkmal - even in its anniversary year, the leading European trade fair has its finger on the pulse and has exceeded our expectations; this is where the heart of cultural heritage beats. The professional competence was extremely high, which was also reflected in the extensive specialist program that once again made denkmal the most important education event of the whole sector." says Markus Geisenberger, Executive Director of Leipziger Messe. “Giving MUTEC its own hall for the first time and focusing it on two days was the right decision. The international trade fair has developed into the central meeting place for museum and exhibition technology.”
This year, denkmal's exhibition and specialist program were based on five pillars. With a focus on building in existing structures, heritage education and building culture education, climate protection and sustainability, digitalization in heritage conservation and restoration and the protection of cultural heritage in emergency situations, the leading European trade fair comprehensively covered current trends and developments. Busy hammering and sawing, the fresh smell of wood and the feel of a wide variety of building materials - thanks to lively workshops with various craftsmen in action, denkmal presented itself as a trade fair for almost all the senses. Guest of honour Morocco offered a deep insight into the building tradition of the North African country with an impressive joint stand and several contributions in the specialist program.
MUTEC impressed across the board with its new constellation. In order to provide more space for professional exchange and the presentation of innovations and services in the cultural sector, the international trade fair moved into its own hall and was focused on two days at the request of exhibitors and visitors. This provided more space for innovative technical solutions and an in-depth exchange on current topics in the industry, including the implementation of sustainability strategies or measures for greater inclusion - both in terms of construction and society. Almost 50 events in the specialist program and, at well over 60 percent, a significantly increasing proportion of top decision-makers at the trade fair underlined the high importance of MUTEC for the industry.
The next denkmal will take place from November 5 to 7, 2026, and MUTEC will once again take place in a compact format from November 5 to 6, 2026.
